COVID-19 Update for our Customers

Empire Access is still working hard to provide our customers with great service. As we continue to monitor the COVID-19 coronavirus situation, we want to share what our company is doing to ensure a high service level and the health and safety of our customers and employees.

We are closely monitoring this fast-moving virus and have outlined some of the safeguards we are taking:

  • Uninterrupted Service:

Telecommunications is classified by the government as an Essential Service, which allows our company to continue operating at full capacity to support our customers


  • Putting Safety First:

Empire has issued each technician the necessary safety gear (respirators, gloves and hand sanitizer), and instructed them on how to use this gear

Empire is contacting each customer prior to dispatching to ensure the home or business is safe to enter

We continue to follow World Health Organization and CDC guidelines

Empire employees are working from home and in facilities with a low density of workers


  • Reacting with Speed:

Our technicians and line crews continue to maintain our network and keep customers connected

We have increased our Internet capacity to ensure optimal connection speeds as more customers work from home and take classes online

We are a geographically diverse organization with offices and employees strategically located throughout New York and Pennsylvania, which allows for rapid response


  • Relief for our Customers:

Empire is taking part in the FCC’s ‘Keep Americans Connected’ Pledge which provides protections for residential and small business customers experiencing financial difficulties during the coronavirus outbreak


  • Service Solutions:

Empire offers a wide array of “work at home” telecommunication options, ranging from faster Internet speeds and whole home Wi-Fi to business collaboration solutions
